The first officially issued rugby coin in the shape of a jersey.

Shaped 2015

Collector’s Note

Breaking away entirely from geometric norms, this 1-ounce silver coin pays tribute to the legendary All Blacks by adopting the exact silhouette of a rugby jersey. This unconventional approach requires exceptional precision in the die-cutting process, resulting in a striking numismatic tribute that seamlessly merges sports apparel iconography with precious metal craftsmanship.

Design & Craftsmanship

The reverse features a full-color replica of the official 2015 All Blacks jersey, complete with the iconic silver fern, adidas logo, AIG sponsor logo, and the “ONE DOLLAR” inscription below. Designed by Dave Burke, the obverse showcases Ian Rank-Broadley’s portrait of Queen Elizabeth II alongside the “NEW ZEALAND – ELIZABETH II – 2015” text and the IRB inscription right below the neckline.

“A groundbreaking numismatic innovation, this piece successfully replicates the shape, texture, and deep national pride of a rugby jersey.”
